Day Trip - Road Trip

The kids were a little disappointed it wasn't an overnight trip but plans on Saturday prevented it...maybe next time. Still day trip adventures are just as fun. Getting out of town, exploring and spending time together. We went out of town about 3 hours away to view several houses we were interested in. We also ventured to the feed store in town, explored a lake, went out to dinner all together, drove around town a bit more then made the drive home and were in bed by 11pm.

The lake was super awesome according to...everyone! We had driven by on a past trip but never went into the park where you can hike, camp, and play. Pictures don't do it justice. There were some amazing rock formations. We definitely see some hiking and fishing here in our future.

Gorgeous day, perfect 78 degrees weather. The sun was shining, we were able to relax and spend a lovely day together.
