This state park was on our list to visit when we got our state parks pass and were checking out where we wanted to go. We had heard great things about it - the beautiful nature of it and rocks/fall formations. Its only 15 minutes from downtown Austin, TX. McKinney Falls is 641-acres. Onion Creek flows 1.7 miles through the park, offers both swimming and fishing.
We took one day to explore the falls, walk some trails. Then another day we swam. And hubbie and I went one evening for a fishing date as well! The park was crowded - every space taken but it was still fun and a beautiful place to visit.
