Just relaxing...

Tuesday...ditched our to-do's (which was an afternoon date to do laundry) and headed out to the lake for some sun shine, family time and play time. Much needed. We ate lunch at home then headed out until dinner time. Some times fresh air is all you need to reconnect, regroup, find your clarity and your calm.

Blessings to your family from ours, hoping you find some moments in your busy lives to relax!

Vaca Fun

The surprise trip went off without a hitch- surprising my Papa, the kids great Papa was so heart felt- he was super surprised and loved it. His smile when he saw us said it all. We enjoyed a few short days with all of our out of town family- hanging out, taking a trip to the zoo, and having a birthday celebration. Now to count the days down again when we will get to visit perhaps a bit longer!

A few of the photo's our son captured at the zoo of his beloved birds. A trip to an exotic bird pet store...a few walks to the park to scooter and swing...and a final stop on the way home for our daughter to pick out leotards, tights, and shoes to be able to start ballet again. A great trip.

Blessed that we live so close and can visit so often...family is everything and time with them is so valuable to our hearts. We enjoy and soak up every moment of it with them.

Sneak Peek Pictures

A few sneak peek of pictures we took the other eve for a birthday present for Papa - 'great' Papa to my kids. He celebrates his birthday this Friday and we thought some new pictures would brighten his day. These two kids....beautiful and handsome...inside and out. I can not even express in words how blessed I am- to be their mother, to be given the opportunity to home school them. They brighten my life, fill my heart full and complete my soul. Best job in the world...being a Momma.

Love, pure love.

Weekending

The weekend was slow moving, and oh so necessary after a very busy week of being on the go-go-go. Saturday we slept off and on in the front room on the couches, ate breakfast, lunch and dinner super late, watched movies and did absolutely nothing and it was great. Sunday as well, was a stay at home day, a little shopping, a little cleaning, a little crafting, a little playing but again re cooping and relaxing from our busy week.

Here's what our son, Jordie has been doing....
Painting, Building, Chicken Watching (she's on 8 eggs)

Our daughter has been looking up sewing and crafting costume tutorials online, reading, listening to music and resting.

Momma and Daddy have been reading, cleaning, dreaming, planning, enjoying the kids and just resting this weekend.

A blessed peaceful weekend together.

Water Day = Everyday

Water day can be everyday right? Okay, so hubbie's brother is in town and we've been out and about a bit more than usual - lots of water trips for fishing and swimming. I completely don't mind doing that every day for a week and neither do the kids. Fun spending time with family in the sun. Today was a bit hotter with a lot of windy breeze but still nice for a swim. We also saw fish jump out of the water, a turtle poke his head out of the water and tons of neat birds. Our son was only a little disappointing that he didn't have his good camera for all the different species of birds...I see a trip to this area in the near future!

Another beautiful family fun day.

Happy 4th of July!

A little simple celebration, an at home bbq with the kids, hubbie and brother in law, some skype time with other family, some evening fireworks and a few fun fireworks and sparklers at home. A relaxing, peaceful day just being together.Celebrations don't have to be huge, all out, tons of people, party scene to be meaningful and fun- you just need each other.

Blessings this 4th to all our family and friends!
