Last week...

The days, weeks, months seem to be going so very fast. Our son's birthday is approaching. Our daughter turning 16 this year. This last week was filled. It was filled with learning and schooling, with relaxing, reading and playing. Our son finished up some more of his cub scout requirements. Our daughter is planning a big sewing project and we went material window shopping to decide what was going to work best for her. We had our normal activities of dance and scouts.

Our son and I ducked out one afternoon for an impromptu river trip just the two of us. He decided to go in to his knee's...in his jeans. And we finished the week off on Friday heading out to a hike with our home school group and a park day afterwards- just what everyone needed, kids and adults, time with friends! It could not have been a more gorgeous day.

Yesterday, Saturday we had hoped for more sun but it was ducking in and out. We went out anyways and went to the lake near by for some fishing, dipping our toes in the water (our son got in to his waist), a game of Uno, rock skipping, reading, laughing and just hanging out before coming home to have a quiet movie night. Just in time too because as we were leaving rain drops starting coming down. A beautiful week and weekend. This morning the clouds graced us with a few more drops and now the sun shines bright as the house is still asleep. One more week and we head for California and we are all so excited to celebrate my buddies 11th birthday with family.

Chickens dirt bathing in our front planter...
Chicken Verde Enchilada's turned out so great this week, love new recipes!

Love being outdoors! Soak up the beauty, fresh air any time we can.
