Chopping Wood, Egg Craft, Veggie Cheesesteak Sandwiches

The morning started off with warmth in the fireplace still leftover from the night before so our son was able to on his own get a morning fire going. Seeing as he used the remainder of the wood we ventured outside to find some more to burn for the morning. Without 'Dad' and his chainsaw we were able to use our hands and feet to break off decent sized pieces to burn but our son attempted to figure out a new way of 'chopping' wood...setting up a teeter totter using his own weight to break branches. He was quite proud :)  The kids both did chores, and started on morning studies, a bit more George Washington, some piano practice and our daughter found a egg craft tutorial she shared with her brother and they both worked on it together. Hubbie now changing shifts from graveyard to swing, we have changed our meals around a bit to have a 'sit down' lunch instead of dinner with him, eating our dinner meal at lunch so that we can have family time before he leaves for work mid afternoon, this afternoon we had Vegan Cheesesteak Sandwiches and Salad. After lunch, science studies about pigeons and a bit more piano practice...now the house is quiet- everyone is relaxing, reading, listening to music while momma works a bit and blogs a bit then feeds the pups and starts on dinner.
Quick photo update...babies 24 hrs old-

A beautiful day together as always.
